Village Life

The village people dress simply, have simple meals and have a simple work life. Indian villages are major contributors to the agricultural products like wheat, rice, lentils and cereals. Also cash crops like cotton, oilseed, jute, tea, coffee and sugarcane. A normal village is home to cattle, sheep, goats and poultry.

Villagers begin their day with bathing in makeshift baths. They can only eat once they have finished their worship and village temples. The remains of the day are spent at work in the fields or making crafts. Their day culminates with a good long night of rest or they go into the town plaza were they tell stories or share thoughts.

  1. Village life in India is so different from life where we live, and it is so interesting that they live around the cattle. I could never imagine living with the cows and goats etc walking through the streets. It is so interesting!

  4. The village's seem so interesting. I liked the video of the animals. It is like the animals just wander around wherever they want. I didnt know that they can only eat once they have finished their worship and village temples, that really interesting.
